Class Schedule

This class is designed for businesses/individuals that require or desire a certification in First Aid basics, injury and environmental emergencies, and CPR.  This is a basic class aimed at training students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.  Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This class also teaches Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and AED use. It will be interactive with an instructor and manikins while following along with a video.

This class is designed for businesses/individuals in the healthcare setting: MD, RN, Dental Asst., EMS Professional, etc.; that require a certification.  This class offers training in Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, as well as relief of choking for all ages.  It also includes training in the use of an AED and is very in-depth.  Students will also be trained to use a wide variety of barrier devices, which are necessary in the clinical setting to minimize exposure and to comply with OSHA guidelines. It will be interactive with an instructor and manikins while following along with a video.

Skills Checks are conducted by appointment only.

This option is for those people who have completed their training on the American Heart Association (AHA) website. People who choose this option will receive no instruction, but will be tested over their skills for certification. These online courses are very convenient and can be found here: AHA Online Courses

We offer this for the following courses: Heartsaver CPR/AED, Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED, and BLS for Healthcare Providers 

You will need to complete the online course prior to scheduling and provide us the certificate of completion at the time of testing

Building Access

All training classes are located on the lower level of Fire Headquarters. The front doors will unlock 15 minutes prior to the start of class and will re-lock 15 minutes after. In the event that you are unable to access the building, press the red button located on the wall of the vestibule to contact the on duty crew to assist you.

If you have an emergency that makes you unavailable to attend a course that you have registered for, contact us and we will be happy to move you to the next available course date that works for you. 

 

INFORMATION:

NOTE: In fall of 2018 we will beging transitioning from printed completion cards to a digital E-Card format. Please check with your instructor if you have any questions. Your card will be issued to the email you provided during registration within 21 days after your class
